Isa Pengskul is an artist whose practice explores how the agency of other things becomes palpable. Working across sculpture, installation, and participatory frameworks, she invites encounters with objects, materials, and environments as active presences rather than as backdrops to human existence. Whether through forms that disrupt expectations or participatory works that generate collective insight, her practice asks us to recognize our embeddedness in a world where we are not the only agents at work.
In 2024, her work was presented in exhibitions including JAMMING SPACE: Bio:Currents at Cake Theatre, Singapore, and Many Worlds at A Glance, Many Worlds All at Once at he Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore. In 2025, she took part in the Singapore Art Museum Residencies, and in 2023 she received the Winston Oh Travelogue Award. Pengskul holds an MA in Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, as a Maguire Fellow, and studied Philosophy and Studio Art at Vassar College, New York.
